Approval for Change of Development and Experiment Approval
Persons, who intend to conduct experiment related to environmental discharge, such as field test, for the purpose of test and research, should request approval from the Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT).
※ Persons, who intend to conduct field test, should report isolated field facility to the Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning in advance.

Approval should be obtained if any of the following applies to LMO:
- LMO that is obtained using microorganisms that are not designated with a specific name of species based on taxonomy and not sure about whether they are pathogenic to humans
- LMO that is made using genes capable of producing protein toxicity that contains less than 100ng of 50% lethal dose per 1kg of vertebrates (Relevant protein toxicity: Consolidated Public Notification - Attached Table 2-1)
- LMO that is intended to unnaturally deliver drug resistance genes to organisms (with the exception of the drug resistance genes specified in Consolidated Public Notification - Attached Table 2-2)
- LMO that is made through direct use of pathogenic microorganisms officially designated as requiring state management for public health as specified in Attached Table 2-3 or through artificial gene synthesis of such pathogenic microorganisms
